History

An organization established in 2007 to popularise and promote science and technology for non-violent development and social progress.  It is registered under The Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and Charitable Societies Registration Act, 1955 with Registration number T-1855/07. 

What stands us Apart?

Its uniqueness is science communication in a simple and non-dogmatic language that would appeal to the youngsters of the new generation. The Vedhi is beginning to exploit the new media for its activities in creative ways. We welcome anyone interested in popularising and promoting science and technology to join hands with us.

Exciting events are open to all wherein participants have fun in suggesting improvements in gadgets used in daily life such as Pen, Penils, Brooms, etc. Aimed to promote the spirit of innovation, these also enhance creativity.

In view of the ever-increasing concerns about the deterioration of the quality of the environment, Sasthra Vedhi considers it imperative to urge for action rather than confine to rhetoric. The national elections are imminent and lovers of the environment cannot but take note of the fact that it will be a period when square kilometers of flex sheets will be appearing all over the state which will thereafter become a threat to the environment.  The Vedhi therefore appeals to all political parties to consider cutting down their use of synthetic flex boards by 10-20 percent to begin with and use eco-friendly alternatives such as handwritten cloth banners or art installations made out of eco-friendly natural materials. If a consensus can evolve on this matter, it will be a model for the country.

Our Location

We are headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram, the capital city of the State of Kerala in India. We have district committees in all the 14 districts of Kerala.
